By accessing or using Resume Tailor (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, which are compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable European data protection laws. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Resume Tailor is a SaaS platform that leverages AI to help users analyze, tailor, and export resumes. The Service provides resume analysis, job description matching, and export features. Some features may require a paid subscription.

3. User Obligations

• You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• You may not use the Service for unlawful or prohibited purposes.

4. Data Protection & GDPR

• We process your personal data in accordance with GDPR and other applicable laws.
• Legal bases for processing include contract, consent, legal obligation, and legitimate interest.
• Your personal data will not be used for training large language models (LLMs). Data may be used to improve user experience, but not for model training.

5. Data Storage, Transfers & Security

• User data, including resumes and profile information, is stored securely using AWS S3 (EU region where possible) and Prisma ORM.
• AI features are powered by Gemini via OpenRouter; your data may be processed in the EEA or outside the EEA with appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
• Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full payment details.
• We implement industry-standard security measures, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Upon account deletion or request, your data will be erased or anonymized unless retention is required by law.

9. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated content.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes as required by law.
